SUCCESS STORY

Barbara Prescott works part-time, takes care of her two sons, and received an early Christmas present on December 13, 2001 - a new home. The home is also the first in Lee County to be built under the Rural Home Loan Partnership. Like all RHLP homes Santee-Lynches develops, it is built with wider doors and reinforced bathroom walls for future grab-bar placement; allowing families to age-in-place if they desire.

Ms. Prescott is thrilled with her new home, located in her hometown of Woodrow. The day of the closing on her home was a joyous one for Ms. Prescott; she couldn't stop smiling as she thanked people from Santee-Lynches and other organizations for helping make it possible. "I hope this is the first of many Merry Christmases for Ms. Prescott," said Valerie Williams of the State Housing Authority.
